Oso Highlands is a great place to stargaze (when the weather cooperates of course). Light pollution is not much of a factor out here. We have a nice open field where we have setup our cheap Amazon telescope to view the Moon, planets, stars, and other objects in the night sky. With the naked eye we have watched meteor showers, the Aurora Borealis, Starlink satellite trains, the ISS, Milky Way, and the constellations. Smartphone stargazing apps are always fun. If you are interested in hosting a Star Party on our farm we are 20 minutes from I-5, we have plenty of parking away from the viewing area, a picnic shelter with a propane heater to hang out at while waiting for the sky to darken, and nearby bathrooms.
